About
I’m Lucas Riboli, a backend/cloud software engineer with around 8 years of experience in distributed systems, building scalable and resilient platforms for high-stakes environments — finance and cloud.
I work daily with Go, Java and Python: microservices, APIs, observability and infrastructure automation, with a constant eye on performance and security. What pulls me most is infrastructure, networking and the operator pattern — reconciliation, control loops and Linux primitives.
Based in Sapiranga, Brazil.
Experience
- Software Engineer — BV · 2025–present Corporate systems for the financial sector: microservices, APIs and workflow orchestration with Java, Spring Boot, Camel, Camunda, FastAPI, Apigee and GCP.
- Senior Developer — Agger · 2025 Internal tooling in Python on AWS (Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS), AI as a Service and the company’s data lake.
- Cloud Developer — Luiza Labs · 2024–2025 Firewalls and ACLs for public and private networks at layer 4 — dynamic rules via syscall and OVN/OVS applied at the load balancer, with state in ETCD.
- Senior Software Developer — CWI Software · 2022–2024 Asynchronous fraud-prevention pipeline with Java, Camunda and Camel; trace troubleshooting with Dynatrace and Kibana.
- Mid-level Developer — Infocap · 2018–2022 Web scraping system that became the company’s main product (10k+ documents per night) and a ~40% cut in cloud costs.

On this blog
I document labs and studies on infrastructure, distributed systems, Linux and Go — usually as “concept + hands-on”. Start with the posts.
Highlights
- Forge-Operator-Lab — a Go operator that applies the operator pattern outside Kubernetes, with a memory-based HPA for Incus containers.
- Talk: “Operators: from Kubernetes to any infrastructure” — Vale Tech Talks, Feevale University.
Education
- Systems Analysis and Development — PUC Minas · 2023–2026
